Dr. Yaniris R. Avellanet

Dr. Yaniris R. Avellanet was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She was inspired to become a doctor by her father, a cosmetic surgeon, who by his work in a tropical Latin island, helped men and women achieved their dreams of obtaining the figures and curves they desired and improving their self-esteem. Growing up in a hot climate, Dr. Avellanet was exposed to a culture that responded to women with hourglass figures and curves and men with physically fitted physiques. Early on, she developed a passion for photography and detail. Her natural eye for the beauty and lines of the human form, with her interest in helping others, inspired her to pursue a medical career and become a cosmetic surgeon.

Dr. Avellanet completed undergraduate and graduate schools at Georgetown University, Washington D.C. in Psychology, Languages, and Biology, and Biotechnology. She continued her medical education at Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamón, PR. Her post-graduate training was completed at University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, University District Hospital. She completed a Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Avellanet also completed a one year Fellowship in General Cosmetic Surgery in Little Rock, Arkansas. During this fellowship, she performed many body contouring procedures, including liposuction, fat transfers to buttocks, natural breast augmentation, and cosmetic gynecologic procedures. Currently, Dr. Avellanet works as a cosmetic surgeon specializing in body contouring surgery and female genital cosmetic procedures.
